How to easily achieve the “Hold my primary, I’m going in” in Helldivers 2
In this guide i will let you know how to easily get the “Hold my primary, I’m going in” achievement in Helldivers 2. I was playing with some friends and we stumbled upon a quick way to do it. Now this might sound a little crazy and weird but you need to stick with me and follow what im saying to get this achievement. The trick to getting this achievement is to do a specific mission type on a certain difficulty. I tried multiple ways to get this achievement but the only way to do it consistently was to follow these steps. But we are lucky the method is simple to do.
So here’s the step-by-step to get the “Hold my primary, I’m going in” achievement. First, select a “Wave Extermination” mission on Hard difficulty or higher. Make sure its on a planet with lots of bugs. When you start the mission, don’t bring any primary or support weapons. Thats right, you heard me – leave those behind. But don’t worry, you can still use stratagems and throwables like grenades.
Stratagems
Next up, grab the P-19 Redeemer for your secondary weapon. This thing is like a space-age MP-9 and it seriously packs a punch. As for stratagems, you’re gonna want to bring some turrets and orbital laser beams to help fry those bugs fast. Here’s what I suggest:
- Orbital Laser
- Gatling Turret
- Mortar
- EMP Mortar
When you’re in the mission, find the safest high ground you can and set up all your turrets around the edge. This will help you take care of the smaller enemies easily. If a big enemy like a charger or bile titan shows up, quickly call in the orbital laser to take them out fast. Just remember to play it safe and you’ll have this achievement unlocked in no time.
