A Guide To Each Monster as of Currently – Inside the Backrooms

A guide to every monster Inside The Backrooms.

Level 0 (“Lobby”)

This is where you will find the first section. It is free from monsters, so you won’t die.

Level 1 (The Backrooms).

Radio Stick Man

You will most likely meet him before you see them.

Near-lights will make the color orange-like

He loves to pick corners or stand in them for a long time. However, you will hear his loud footsteps when he moves.

He can only see your face if you are within his reach (a little further than the orange-lights begin). If you hear a loud roaring sound, he will be able to tell you that he has spotted you.

He is easy enough to forget. If you’re ever chased, just walk away from him. He will slow right down.

Dog

Start at the dog to stop it moving for a moment. Moving away from you will cause it slowly to stalk you.

If you stare at the animal for too long, you can break eye contact with it or start running.

The strategy is to stare at the dog while it notices, then slowly move away from you around a corner. Once you have moved away, you can run and hide behind something, which will cause the dog’s to move.

Smiley

The most annoying Level 1 Monster

It cannot move, but it will take a few moments before it disappears.

It will only be visible in areas with no lights. It is not bound to any particular spots, but it does seem prefer certain spots.

A light can break, which can make a space for a Smiley.

A smiley will make your flashlight flash by distorted sound.

The more you look at it, the more at risk you are of it instantly ending your life.

The greater the effect, it is the closer you get to your target.

I’m not sure what causes it to attack but it seems like touching it or breaking eye contact with it by looking away seems the trigger.

I have found that looking at the smiley from both sides doesn’t increase the risk. Therefore, blocking the smiley on the other side with a wall can make it difficult to see. Then wait for it to fade. It is not allowed to affect you while it’s fading out.

Level 2 (Parking space / Office)

Skin Walker

This Monster is easy enough to get annoyed by. He will see you from a distance, and make sound (talking or whistling).

It has a fairly good memory, so it will need to be seen for longer periods of the day in order to de-agro.

The game says it is about to smell blood. I have never actually tried this.

It is best to control his aggression and get him out the areas where you don’t want him.

If you ever have to stop his aggression, he will stay put for a second after he has attacked, and he won’t move again until he starts moving again. This means that moving behind walls or pillars can be very helpful.

Level 2 cont. (Party Room)

Party Goer

This monster can only be found at the party room. The party rooms has three mini-games each with three phases.

These mini-games can be made more difficult or easier depending on which phase you are in and how many people are present in your lobby.

If all players lose, the phase is reset. You will lose any gifts or candles you have collected in this phase.

Balloons

The monster will not appear in this phase. However, it can still do damage to you.

If all balloons are destroyed, balloons will rise from the ground. The next phase or the next miniature-game will start.

You must destroy all balloons within a time limit. This limit is indicated by the sounding ticking clock.

If you fail destroy all the balloons within the time limit, the remaining balloons may fly to the nearest player to cause damage.

Gift Maze

Once the balloons are all popped, the message will ask you to enter the box below it.

Once all players are in the box wall, the timer will start.

Random gifts will be randomly placed in the maze. Finding all of these gifts will take you to the next stage or mini-game.

The gifts will only show up once the timer has ended. Trying to find them before then will give you nothing and you may miss a gift.

If you don’t get all the gifts at the given time, (which is most likely to occur), The lights in the maze will go red and the Party Goer can begin to search.

If the Party Goer sees you, balloons may fly up from the ground and keep you from moving. However, if the Party goer is too close, it will always mean instant death. But, if the Party goer is far enough, you will be able to quickly run to a hiding spot.

The Party goer may check hiding spaces during the phase.

Invisible Maze

Similar to the previous mazes, you must find hidden objects within a maze. However this time the maze walls can only be seen through red lines on its floor.

You will need to look for candles that are randomly placed.

This is both a plus and a drawback. You can see where the candles are, but you don’t always have to go there.

The timer on the final mini-game may be more forgiving. However, if it runs out it will usually mean that you will die. As the Party Go-er does not have to be restricted by the invisible wall, the timer is not as strict.

The maze’s shape is C-shaped, meaning that you may need to heave to get from one side to the other.

Ironically, the Party Goer is the best spot. This corner can take anyone to any part in the maze.

The Party Goer can not attack you until your timer expires.

The Final Door will not open until you have blown it out and collected your Red Keycard.

I recommend that the moth jam-wielding player be sent to the center of the table. Wait until all the other players have reached the corner opposite the PartyGo-er.

Level 2 cont. (The Pool)

Legged water crawlers

The final stretch will see you in a large pool of randomly placed monsters that cannot be seen.

To see them you must use the motion detection

They do move. Sometimes they move randomly. If the players get within range of them, they will start moving towards the player. While they are slower and more agile than you, they can pose a problem.

I recommend finding gaps in their position to move through.

Sometimes you will need to manipulate the animals to move them from where they are not needed.

After this point, you can enter the final chamber.
