The avatar creation tool is no longer available after you purchase the game. If you don’t save the avatar code, there’s no way to get it. It’s super annoying ….but there is a way!

Secondary Account

First, you need to create or use a secondary account. The account must not contain the full game.

Install The Avatar Designer!

The avatar creator can be installed on this account, even though it doesn’t have the main games. Do this now.

Switch back to Main

Once the full game has been downloaded and installed, you can return to your main account. Now, you will have both the full Steam game and the avatar generator in your Steam Library. You’ll see the avatars that you have created previously by opening the avatar creator. Grab that key and import the file.

Can I not install Epic and Microsoft Store versions? ?

It didn’t work for me. I had to make a new avatar. As of the date this guide was created, it didn’t seem like this was a possible working option.
