A detailed description of how Trade Bazaar operates and a breakdown its worth.
How magic happens
This is why there is so much confusion about the Bazaar. It’s not surprising that it’s so complicated. After extensive testing, i thought I’d share the details.
The Bazaar generates its own resources and stores them separately from all other production. Each Bazaar’s production is boosted by Quarries, except Gold, and Lumber Camps, ignoring Warehouse bonuses. However, the 1st Bazaar also has flat output that is not directly related to Warehouse bonus. It works as follows:
ticks every 0.75 day
ticks every 1.25 Days
ticks every 1.5 Days
When the Bazaar has no storage for any of them, the tick will instead produce the Gold value. You can either buy the resources from Bazaar’s stockpile or purchase them. I’m not sure why you have the ability to sell something but have to pay to do it. Ask the Devs.
Bazaars above the first level can pool into a similar Storage and Timers to the but do have no base resource production. They only add the percent of any resource they are within the range of, which is listed above. They do add base Excess Gold, however (more money from excess). Each Bazaar covers the same resources and produces approximately 4x the amount of Gold income than the first.
But is it Good? ?
The Bazaar alone, once it is full, can produce the equivalent of 31.5 gold per Tax Cycle. It takes 27 Turns for it to pay off its Cost. This doesn’t include the time it takes fill up its Storage. It’s not a great way to make Gold income.
It is an excellent way to get Iron as early as possible, especially if you are being stiffed with Iron Veins. It’ll cost you to purchase it, but it will pay off once you have tons of Gold and Iron. This happens to me all the way between Waves 1 through 3. Can also help with Stone.
It can be very beneficial depending on the situation. However, it shouldn’t be expected to be the eco powerhouse as it is in TAB.
