How to Fix Xbox 360 Controller Issues in WRC 6/7/8/9/10
If your Xbox 360 controller or other gamepad isn’t working right in WRC 7 or similar racing games, I’ve got some tips to help get things smoothed out so you can enjoy your gaming again.
First Up – Get into Steam’s Big Picture Mode
Open up Steam and switch to Big Picture Mode. Look around for the settings icon and click on it to get started.
Next – Find the Controller Settings
In the settings menu, find where it says “controller settings” and select that option. This is where we’ll get your Xbox 360 all configured.
Now – Set Up Your Xbox 360 Controller
Make sure “Xbox configuration” is chosen. Also, tick the “Xbox advanced settings” box – this installs the driver your controller needs. Once you’ve done that, restart your computer to finalize the installation.
Last Step – Launch WRC 7 from Big Picture
After the restart, reopen Steam in Big Picture Mode again. Select WRC 7 and start it up. Your Xbox 360 controller should now work perfectly in-game!
If you’re still having issues, try resetting the controls to default for your devices. This can fix compatibility problems.
