How to Murderize the Whole Game (high-range build + mobility guide) – Himno – The Silent Melody

My personal build recommendations

Getting a Good Weapon

First, get a weapon that’s better than your starter sword ASAP. I’d recommend the boomerang and if you get further, the golden boomerang. I’d say boomerangs are good because they have high damage as well as high range.I wont say anything about bows or guns or essence weapons, that’s for a separate guide. I cant imagine a scenario where a boomerang wouldn’t be useful. You also can buy the Essence Transfuser from the Merchant NPC for 20 Tess Fiber, 3 Compact Essence Cores, and 2 Steel. you can upgrade your weapons there if you feel you have a good build. But if you die, your weapon upgrades will be halved as well as you losing the rest of your items

Getting a Good Defense

The Wooden Shield isn’t a bad start for a defense, you just need to manage the timing of your blocks to most effectively use it. However, I prefer Back Wheels, which can be crafted at the anvil for 25 Dean Fiber (found in the Red Cliffs biome) 20 Iron Cubes, and 10 Scrap Metal. The Back Wheel is unique in that not only is it a defensive tool, but an offensive one as well. It flies out and homes in on enemy projectiles, destroying them when it comes into contact. If an enemy touches the wheel however, the enemy starts to take small damage rapidly, which is very useful for the boss in the 2nd Judge’s Lair. The Back Wheel also can be upgraded with the Essence Transfuser. The Frozen Back Wheel functions the same but has better stats.

Mobility and the Skill Tree

If you die, you cant deal damage to anything. Mobility is often the way to avoid taking damage when the Back Wheel misses some projectiles. If you play the game long enough you end up ama*sing some Yellow Gems. You can get them by having them pop out of thin air, or opening the chest near the exit after all the enemies in the district are MURDERIZED with your EPIC SKILLS. If you pull up your inventory and click on the bottom tab on the right side of you inventory window, you’ll find the skill tree. You can trade the Yellow Gems you found from exploring for small permanent boosts, like having a 2nd jump or a 2nd dash, which can be really helpful when you prefer not to die to the slime you accidentally pissed off.

Conclusion

If you followed my advice right, and adjusted to the somewhat awkward of your mainly range-based build, the only improvements you could make should be variants of the weapons or further essence upgrades.
