How to Optimize G29 Settings for Maximum Performance in WRC 7
Welcome to the basic setup guide for G29 and G920 users. By following these steps, you can optimize your wheel’s performance and enhance your gaming experience.
Setting up Your Wheel
1. Download and Install Logitech Gaming Software: If you haven’t already, download and install the Logitech Gaming Software from the official Logitech website. You can find the download link here. This software is essential for configuring your wheel.
2. Connect Your Wheel: Plug in your G29 or G920 wheel to your computer using the provided USB cable.
3. Configure Wheel Settings: Open the Logitech Gaming Software and select your wheel model (G29 or G920). Then, access the Axis Properties section. To achieve optimal handling, set the Wheel Operating Range to 540 degrees. This setting mimics the steering range of a WRC car and improves in-game performance. Note that some games, like Dirt 4, automatically adjust this setting if Softlock is enabled. Additionally, adjust the Steering Sensitivity to 50% after modifying the operating range. Enable Spring Centering and set the strength to 10% for better wheel control.
Game Configuration
1. Launch the Game: Start the game you want to play and navigate to the Controls menu.
2. Configure Steering Wheel Settings: Look for the Steering Wheel settings and access them. Since the brake pedal on the G29 can be stiff, it’s recommended to set the sensitivity to 20%. You can increase this value if you’re having difficulty stopping in the game. Here are the settings I personally use:

As a starting point, set the Force Feedback level to 50%. Feel free to increase or decrease this value according to your preference for more or less feedback intensity.
