For the hunter looking to Back-up their save files or just looking to challenge themselves again

So I tried looking up guides on how to reset your Profile Progress in “Carnivores: Dinosaur Hunter Reborn” but the answer couldn’t be found in the Discussions or Community Guides for this game. So I figured I’d make a guide to help people either backup their progress or just challenge themselves again.

Profile Location

So here’s the burning question that you’re probably asking;

“where on my computer is my progress being saved?”

Your progress is saved in the following location in your steam directory:

“*\Steam\userdata\23899998\293520”

in the “Remote” folder is all of your progress you’ve achieved thus far.

Back-up/Reset Progress

To back-up your progress you’re going to want to make a copy of the “profile.config” file located in the “Remote” folder and save it wherever you wish. Personally I’ve created a new folder inside the “Remote” folder called “BACKS” so that I can save a copy of my “profile.config” file in there.

If you wish to reset your progress back to square one, simply delete “profile.config” from the “Remote” folder. The next time you start the game you will have a fresh new start the next time you go hunting.
