This guide can help you decide if Halloween or Christmas is what you want, and not to ruin your computer’s clock.

Before We Start

RunAsDate will be downloaded.

This will not have an impact on biome spread. Pumpkins that grow during Halloween will, I think, still be there if you return to the normal date

Anything done to the Bestiary will be preserved if you return to the normal date

Worlds you create in that period will have that date regardless of whether you go to the normal time

You can do research using RunAsDate. However, I have used it and it didn’t ruin my life.

Getting RunAsDate

RunAsDate can run any game, at any time. You just need to download the program.

Visit the website

Search “runasdate.com”

Once you’re there, it’ll look like this. Ads may pop up so I recommend using an adblocker. But it isn’t necessary.

Next, you will need to download it

Once you hit Download, it will take to you here

Once you have downloaded the file, it will probably open this page. You can relaunch the download if it doesn’t work. If it did, ignore the page.

Running RunAsDate

After you complete the first step, it will be downloaded. You’ll see it pop up in your browser.

Once you click on it, it will ask if this device has made any changes. Click yes so it can be installed. (I was unable to get a screenshot.

This will then be displayed while it downloads. After it finishes, it’ll download.

DO NOT CLICK ANY OTHER THINGS THAT POPS UP DURING INSTALLED, JUST WAIT UNTIL IT INSTALLS, THE OTHER BUTTONS ARE ADD (Just click on the X when it insalls).

This file is now in your files.

You’ll find this in the folder.

This will appear when you open the exe.

RunAsDate for Terraria opening

You should have this up after you have completed parts 1 and 2.

Click on “Browse”, it will display files. This path is the one you want, I will show what to do.

Ignore me using Windows 11! If you follow the exact steps, you’ll get there

Click on “This PC”, click on Windows, and then click on Windows.

Click on “Program file (x86)”

Find “Steam”.

Find “steamapps”.

Find “common”

Find “Terraria”.

Double-click “Terraria”, once you have clicked “Terraria”, to open Terraria.

RunAsDate allows you to set the time

Once you have completed the previous steps, your RunAsDate will look like this

Next, click the Calendar and it will open. You can then set your date for whichever holiday you wish to play in.

Christmas is between December 15th and December 31st

Halloween is from October 10th to November 1st

Once you have chosen your dates (I would choose the 28th) you can set the times but it doesn’t really matter.

Next, press Run and it’ll open at any holiday you set.
