This is the Ultimate S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomalies list by “mark…”

What is an Anomaly?

Anomalies are dangerous events with a lot of energy that can happen anywhere in the Zone.

Things weren’t always in the Zone. In 2006, there was another disaster, but this one was different. This time, new parts of the Zone with messed-up laws of physics appeared and filled the Zone. Scientists called them “anomalies,” and each one was different from the others in how dangerous it was. When a stalker enters its territory, the metal in his blood cells sets off the anomaly. After that, he doesn’t have a lot of hope of getting away, but it’s not impossible either. With enough work, a person who is being stalked can save his life.

As I said, “metal” causes anomalies. Stalkers often use “Metal Bolts” to find anomalies. This is a simple way to find out if something is wrong, but I think the detectors on the expensive suits are better for that.

There Are 7 types of Anomalies

Anomaly is not a single and static thing . There are tons of Anomalies ranging between 7 main categories

These are ; Chemical Based , Electricity Based , Gravity Based , Flame Based , Reality-Altering Ones , Unique Ones and Cut Ones

– Chemical Based Anomalies –

Fruit Punch

Fruit Punch is basically an acid puddle that can dissolve anything you throw in it . It can be detected easily due to its glowing green colour . If a stalker throws an bolt in it , it dissolves the bolt of course but it glows much more and creates an dizzy sound .

Fruit Punch can be seen on every stalker game , to avoid this anomaly just go around it or jump over it . mostly found in x-labs and underground for example : Agroprom Underground , Lab X-18

Gas

Gas Anomaly is so similar to the “Fruit Punch” , stalkers often get confused and can’t distinguish these two . The main difference is Fruit Punch is mostly liquid but Gas is more like a fog a cloudy acid . It makes the screen slimy green texture , This is the signal that you have been into a Gas Anomaly .

To avoid it , just dont approach it . It can damage your pretty armor and if you don’t have an proper armor then you are just basically dead

Gas Cloud

Gas Cloud is actually a unique anomaly . It can be only seen in the Call of Pripyat at the Pripyat Vine place between to buildings . It is so strong even your SEVA suit can’t deal with this . Also it’s not static like the other chemical anomalies , it’s more like a poltergeist , pyrogeist in a acid body it moves so fast and catches you if you approach its territory

It doesn’t give any artifacts so you don’t need to approach , it makes a beautiful landscape

Burnt Fuzz

Burnt Fuzz is the last chemical based anomaly in the game . It can be easily distinguished from the others because this is a plant actually . Growing on pipes , trees etc and it is the only anomaly that doesn’t react to metal . When you touch it , it makes a weird boiling water sound and this is the least feared anomaly because if you have even a small protection it can’t do anything to you . It can give so small damage for an anomaly . To avoid it *you can go trough it but you need to be slow* just go around its a cute plant 🙂

It can be found nearly everywhere on the zone but it gets rare in the Clear Sky

– Electricity Based Anomalies –

Electro

Electro is one of the imost iconic and common Anomaly in the trilogy . It’s a high voltage electric field which can give damage to the stalker even they aren’t in it’s diameter . It can kill the player instantly but this actually differs trough the games , in “Shadow of Chernobyl” the player can resist to staying inside of it for few seconds but in “Call of Pripyat” its so lethal . The most dangerous part is throwing a metal bolt in it . When the bolt touches the Electro Anomaly it grows bigger and burst a high voltage electric that cam kill every single living organism nearby , so dont throw anything in it even if you are far away from it .

Here is a showcase video of the Electro Burst

it appears in so many places but there is a unique moving version of it in “Agroprom Underground” .

Tesla

Tesla is another pretty unique Anomaly which can be seen only in “Call of Pripyat” . It looks like an electro anomaly can move . It’s a fast moving electricity ball . You can’t encounter this Anomaly randomly its so rare and there are only 3 of them . First one is in the Lab-X8 and the other two is in the Yanov . It’s pretty much deadly but it is so rare and you can easily go around it

Here is a showcase video of Tesla Anomaly * the one in the yanov train*

– Gravity Based Anomalies –

Vortex

Vortex can be the most known and common Anomaly in the trilogy . The name explains itself , its a small vortex which isn’t so visible and deadly . Stalkers can detect this anomaly by niticing the circling tree leaves and blurring sight in the Vortex . When a stalker enters a this deadly anomaly it is probably the last time you have seen him . Corpse of the stalker will rotate in the Vortex until it reaches it’s peak and when he reaches the top of it , its explodes and burst which tears apart the corpse into pieces . But there is a chance to escape , in first few seconds you cant jump into on direction to escape from its radius and save your life . And if you are bored in the game you can carry some of the mutants to throw it inside of the Vortex and see them being crushed by the Anomaly

It can be found everywhere in the game , there isn’t a specific location which it appears .To avoid it you must detect it first

Springboard

Springboard Anomaly is like Vortex but this time it doesn’t pull you towards to himself . Springboard makes a huge burst and push when a stalker approaches it . Like it’s brother it can be found anywhere in the Zone . It is so hard to locate an Springboard but it is not that dangerous so you can escape easily but if you get stuck nearby , you will receive more and more damage after every burst .

They are easily avoidable and they make small weird sounds .

Gravity Based Anomalies are not easy to see this is why i can’t use images instead we have videos to fully understand its capabilities

Whirlgig

Like the other “Gravity Based” Anomalies , Whirlgig is so common in the Zone too . Whirlgig is so similar to the “Vortex” we can say it is a “Mini Vortex :3” but don’t be fooled by its appearance . It is much more dangerous than Vortex because even though it gives less damage , it is impossible to escape from a Whirlgig . If you enter , you are done . It is so hard to distinguish a Whirlgig from a Vortex but you can understand which one is it when you approach .

You can see things like this .

– Flame Based Anomalies –

Burner

Burner is one of the most dangerous anomaly in the game . When you trigger it , it blows a powerfull flame like a fire breathing dragon . It is dangerous because if you don’t have armor you are just dead and if you have a proper armor then you can say goodbye to it because it does a lot of damage to the equipment you wear . Even if you escape from one of them , it spawns another one and another one until you leave that area . And unlike other anomalies “Burner” usually spawns in the crevices on the earth’s surface . It is not so visible with nak*d eye but you can guess that it is there before entering

To avoid it you need to leave its territory before you die . They are most common in “Burnt Farmstead”

Comet

Comet is a rare Anomaly which can only been founded on some locations . It is like a “Burner” but there are 2 main differences . First one is “Comet” isn’t a static anomaly , it can move one place to another rapidly and the second one is Comet is much more deadlier . This anomaly is actually extremely strong barriers specially placed to prevent you from accessing the artifacts located in the middle .

This is the Comet from the Zaton , Circus Anomaly as you an see the 2 Comets are circling to block you from reaching the artifacts

– Reality Altering Anomalies –

Space Bubble

Space Bubble is a “special” anomaly , we can’t describe it so well but it is pretty much like a “wormhole” . It can teleport a unaware stalker to the middle of nowhere . It looks like bubble which is floating in the air . When something or a person enters it , it mostly teleports him but if he is too unlucky to have that chance . He is pretty much stuck in it until he dies . I say this is special because this anomaly is used at many missions in “Clear Sky” . There is a character called “Forester” and he was trapped inside this Anomaly but somehow he managed to escape . There are missions which we need to save some stalkers from a Space Bubble . If you enter it , you will be teleported as we are the main character so we can’t be stuck in a Anomaly for the rest of our live .

It can be found on Cordon Bridge and in Red Forest near the T-64 Tank

Teleporter

Another special anomaly is the “Teleporter” it is special because this anomaly isn’t spawning randomly this is a defense system actually . At the end of the “Clear Sky” this anomaly is used by C-Consiousness to prevent the main character from reaching to them . It basically teleports you far away from your destination . It is so rare that you can only see few of this Anomaly but it appears mostly in “Clear Sky” . It is completly harmless so you don’t need to avoid

– Unique Anomalies –

The reason i call these anomalies “Unique” is because they don’t fit any kind of other anomalies . They have their own abilites and dangers

Fault

Fault is actually an volcanic crack . It has “Burner” anomalies inside of it . If you jump one of the cracks , it will immediatly kill and burn you because it has high temperature heat inside of it . As i said this anomaly is a home for “Burner” anomalies also there is another type of this anomaly which you can find “Whirlgig” anomalies inside instead of “Burner” . It is a deadly anomaly and can be found at “Swamps” and “Zaton”

Symbiont

Symbiont is the most special and unique anomaly in the game . There is only one in the entire serie and we can see it in only “Clear Sky” . It’s shape resembles a hand and it is actually a large crack which has a strong “Burner” anomaly at the middle . Player shouldn’t approach to it because it is extremely dangerous . It also has “Gravity Based” and a psy effect making anomaly . When a stalker approaches to this anomaly , he will see ghosts of some mutants which are running to him . There are actually 2 more anomalies that we can count as a “Symbiont” but they are much more smaller than the original one . The real one is at the “Red Forest” the other two can be found at “Agroprom” and “Yantar”

– Cut Anomalies –

These anomalies were supposed to appear in the trilogy but they were deleted for some sort of reason , We still have some information about them

Lift

This anomaly was supposed to appear in “Shadow of Chernobyl” we have so small info about it but we know that this anomaly is harmless and it only reduces the gravitational pull of earth . Also there is a artifact called “Pellicle” which is unique to the “Lift” anomaly but we can still find it . There is a small chance for finding this anomaly because it isn’t completely deleted . It’s files can be found in the game . There is a invisible anomaly in the “Pripyat Stadium” which works like a “Lift” but we can’t be sure since it doesn’t have any visual effect

Time

Time is another deleted anomaly from the “Shadow of Chernobly” . It’s ability is making the time much more slower than usual when someone enters inside . It also has a unique artifact special to it called “Mama’s Beads” like the “Lift” anomaly . Mama’s Beads isn’t deketed and can be found in the game

Fog

Fog is also supposed to be appeared in “Shadow of Chernobyl” but it got deleted due to the limitations of the computers . We only have so small info about it which was in the website of the game and deleted back in the days the game were being developed . This anomaly were supposed to attack the defenceless villages and stalkers leaving dead bodies and crushed structures behind . We have only one picture to guess what it is

Rusty Hair

Rusty Hair is the last cut anomaly from the “Shadow of Chernobyl” . This anomaly is uhh.. weird . Its actually a fast growing and strong metal rust that nobody should touch . We have only this information about it and we have 2 pictures of it from the game files

It is hard to say something about it but it looks harmless
