Unnecessary Files – Little King’s Story

The original game had many files that went unused. The PC port also has these. This guide tells you some files you can safely delete without impacting the game.

Folders

The game files can be found by right-clicking Little King’s Story, hovering over manage, then clicking Browse Local Files.

There are two folders the game uses depending on which graphics settings you use. They are the data and SDdata folders. These Changes apply to both.

Safe Files to Delete

Once you enter the folder, click the folder named chr.

Inside the chr folder, Everything but the mot folder, cbanData1.pac, cbData1.pac, ccceData1.pac, cfData1.pac, cfdummy0.pcha, and shadow.brres can be deleted. It should look like this when you finish:

Next, you can exit back to the data or SDdata folder and delete the folder named “items”

Finally, open the sys folder then the menuDB folder menuDB_5_0.pac tp menuDB_5_5.pac can be deleted, along with questdata3_0.bin to questdata3_5.bin. In the end it should look like this:

If you find any more files that can be deleted, comment them below.
